A Really Classic Golf Tournament!

By: Daniella Cross, Manager, International Marketing and Communications, Humber College

The second annual Humber College Classic Golf Tournament was a tremendous success with 190 golfers from the Humber community who participated to raise over $100,000 for student awards and scholarships. Held at the Glen Eagle Golf Club, Caledon, the day on the green was a wonderful way to bring everyone together for a great cause!

The International Centre team: Diane Simpson - Dean, International; Kim Smith - Manager, International Admissions; Rebecca Fitzgerald – Manager, International Mobility; Emily Mancuso – Manager, International Recruitment and Market Development; and I did our best to make par and aim for the ever-elusive hole-in-one.

The tournament concluded with the announcement of the winners and a lovely dinner that featured live and silent auctions to further support the fundraising initiative. We may not have been named the overall winners, but a great time was had by all and we have a year to practice our drives, putting, and golf cart manoeuvres as we prepare for the next Humber College Golf Classic!
